  • Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House 1 Bowling Green New York, NY, 10004 United States (map)

Donald Trump has time and again incited xenophobia and hate against immigrants via his multiple attempts at banning Muslims from the United States, his cancellation of DACA and his obstructionist behavior in preventing a clean Dream Act from being passed to replace it, his perverse and inane insistence on a border wall with Mexico, his assaults on family reunification and visa diversity lottery programs, his emboldening of ICE to tear families and communities apart, and his ongoing portrayal of immigrants as criminals.

We will meet in front of the U.S. Custom House, which houses the National Museum of the American Indian, in recognition of the fact that most Americans are immigrants or descended from immigrants. Opening remarks will be made by acclaimed Native American playwright William S. Yellow Robe, Jr. We celebrate the melting pot and the richness that people of all backgrounds bring to this country and our culture. We welcome all immigrants with open arms. At this location which is historically connected to the Port of New York, we will declare the President unfit for office.
